RIT kicked "Take Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day" up a notch. As part of a multi-university video collaboration, the ICE Lab in the Research Computing Group offered "Kids on the Grid 2008," a hands-on experience
with advanced computer, network, and video technologies, using technologies such as the Access Grid and Ineret2. The Access Grid includes multimedia large-format displays, presentation and interactive environments,
and interfaces to middleware and to visualization environments, supporting group-to-group interactions
across the Grid. Internet2 members, including RIT, advance the state of art in networking.
