In this talk we will discuss the development, implementation, and results derived from some newly formulated signal processing algorithms. The D-transform is used for audio, video, and image compression as well as in signal classification applications. We will show results for HDTV compression as well as biomedical image identification. We also will discuss a new signal classification algorithm called Fourier Series Waveform Classification (FSWC). This algorithm provided tremendous improvement in the implementation speed of the D-transform. Both the D-transform and FSWC algorithms possessing a strong parallel structure. We were able to take advantage of a cluster based computing architecture to do some of the analysis. We will discuss the results in this talk as well.
